Spring update is coming near! We have planned some really impressive changes for TibiaME. Actually, there will be so many new features that we already call it TibiaME 2.0! So, what is going to change with the upcoming spring update? What new features will be coming? In this first teaser we will provide some more info for you about the Skill- & Attribute system, the changes on the equipment and the redesign of monsters. More features will follow in the next teaser, so stay tuned! Skill- & Attribute system During the Beta test you already had a chance to take a look at this great new feature. Since then, we have been trying out plenty of combinations of Skills and Attributes and improved the system in general. With each Level Up, Warriors will receive 4 Attribute points. 1 of these points will automatically be distributed to their Mana Attribute. Wizards, on the other hand, will also receive 4 Attribute points with 1 point being automatically distributed to their Health Attribute.

After that you can freely distribute the remaining 3 points to the Attributes 'Health', 'Mana', 'Attack' and 'Defense', just as you like. Starting from Level 8, you will also receive 1 Skill point that you can use to level up individual skills of your character. In the past weeks, our graphic artists have been working on the actual HighRes Icons for the Skills. Have a look at these first examples:

Restrictions on Armour During the Beta, some of you already noticed that every piece of equipment has now got a difficulty value. The difficulty value determines whether or not a character can use an equipment item. The thing is, that in the future you will require to have a certain amount of points on your Defense Attribute in order to actually wear a certain piece of armour. This is indeed a big change in the game. Most of the current items will keep their stats, for example the amount of protection an armour gives. However, an item's difficulty value might then be too high for your character to use this item. In order to fill any emerging gaps here we will introduce plenty of new items for you, especially for low and mid-level ranges. To give you a better understanding, let's take a look at the 'Leather legs', one of the first items in the game at the moment. They give you a Hit protection of 8% and a Lightning protection of 8%, right? With the spring update, leather legs will get a Difficulty value of 20 which means that you need a Defense Attribute of at least 20 points to use them.

The new low level legs (they have not got a proper name yet) which we are going to introduce will give a Hit protection of 2%. Accordingly, a lower Defense Attribute of only 1 will be needed to use them.

Monsters So, armour now requires you to have a certain amount of points on your Defense Attribute. Weapons require you to have a certain amount of points on your Attack Attribute. A lot of new equipment items will be coming to the game, especially low to mid-level range stuff. So, no question that the monsters' loot needs to be adjusted, too. A low level monster like the Bug shouldn't drop 'leather legs' anymore which are then no longer useful for low level characters. Instead, monsters will drop loot that better fits to the level range they are meant for. At the same time we are going to modify the difficulty of monsters. You will likely notice a real difference when fighting with them. Actually, you will even notice a difference before fighting with them, as monsters can now move at different speeds . Also some of the monsters will be using their own skills and / or spells (always according to their level) - so they will be a great challenge for you.

Are you ready to learn more about some other features that are planned for the spring update 2011? Today is teaser day again so enjoy the reading! Questlog With the spring update, all main quests will be available in your Questlog. That means, whenever you want to check what quests you have not finished yet, for example, you can easily look them up in the Questlog and proceed. Hint: Use the 'Show Directions' option in the Questlog to find the right place to restart the quest. Character individualisation (High Res only) Do you want to add a more personal touch to your ingame character? A new feature will make it possible for you to change the look of its hairstyle, shape of head and outfit! You can even choose the colour of your character's hair, skin and clothes. May the lands of TibiaME be more varied than ever before! Here are some examples of what will be possible with the spring update:

Visual improvements The spring update will also contain plenty of visual improvements for all clients! These include: - a flashing health/mana icon as a warning signal when your remaining health or mana drops below 25%. - chests which you have already opened will be clearly displayed as open chests, so no double-checking anymore whether or not you have already had a look into a chest. - lots of graphical effects, for example when you activate a skill, use a spell, cause critical damage to your enemy or level-up. Here is an example of a defensive skill in action.
