What that Cipsoft GmbH? CipSoft GmbH is an independent developer and publisher of online games for various platforms.
The company, which is located in Regensburg, was founded in June 2001 by Guido Lübke, Stephan Payer, Ulrich Schlott und Stephan Vogler. To this day, the four founders act as managing directors who run CipSoft GmbH as a team. By now, more than 50 employees contribute to the continual improvement of CipSoft's existing services as well as to the development of planned products.
CipSoft's portfolio includes the MMORPG Tibia, which ranks among Europe's most successful online games. As at november 2008, more than 300.000 players from all over the world visit the medieval world of Tibia on an active basis. They distribute on a total of 74 game servers. In addition, CipSoft develops and runs TibiaME, the first online role-playing game for mobile phones. Soon, the game developer from Regensburg will publish a third game: Fiction Fighters – an interactive online comic. CipSoft will continue to focus on the development of products in the sectors of online gaming as well as mobile gaming.
